Crossover (from Codeweavers) is well worth the money for Mac users, and linux users alike. It lets you use the Windows versions of programs like Quicken (Win and Mac versions are totally incompatible; can't even share data correctly) and Office if you want to, and QuickLOAD runs very well on any of the 3 main PC platforms with it. QuickLOAD is a program for the exterior and interior ballistic analysis. It provides access to photos and schematics of more than 1200 cartridges, 250 powders, and 2500 bullets. Customizable search allows you to quickly find cartridge for your firearms. This application can also be interfaced with PVM-21 and PVM-08 Chronographs.
QuickLOAD has a default database of predefined bullets, cartridges and propellants. The database of the more recent versions of QuickLOAD also includes dimensional technical drawings of the predefined cartridges and for most cartridges photographic images.
Data can later be imported or entered by the user to expand the programs database. The default database contains more than 2,500 projectiles, over 1,200 cartridges, over 225 powders and dimensional drawings and photos of many cartridges.
Version 3.9 requires Windows XP or newer OS.
