Download: ZapfDingbats Font, Regular Converted from C: TEMP ZD.TF1 by ALLTYPE. The Dingbats block (U+2700–U+27BF) was added to the Unicode Standard in June 1993, with the release of version 1.1. This code block contains decorative character variants, and other marks of emphasis and non-textual symbolism. Most of its characters were taken from Zapf Dingbats. Its block name in Unicode 1.0 was Zapf Dingbats. So to type mathematical symbols, you select the Symbol layout, and then type as though you had selected the Symbol font and US keyboard layout selected in a previous version of Mac!OS. The same concept applies with the Dingbats layout, for the Zapf Dingbats font.I continue to be amazed at the number of things in OSX of which I have zero. In an app on your Mac, choose Edit Emoji & Symbols, or open the Character Viewer from the Input menu (if you set the option in Keyboard preferences). Depending on your Mac model, you can also set an option in the Keyboard pane of Keyboard System Preferences to access the Character Viewer by pressing the Fn key or (if available on the keyboard).
